About JobLink

The JobLink Career Center represents a new way of providing individualized help with placement and career planning. The JobLink Career Center system is a consortium of several non-profit and government agencies offering free assistance for job-seekers and employers. The Centers are under the direction of the Guilford County Workforce Development Board.   Because so many agencies are represented under one roof, it makes it easier for you to get all the help or information you need to find a better job, make career decisions, get training, or find qualified employees.

This "One-Stop Center" offers the employer the ability to post job openings, gain information on a variety of government benefits such as tax credits and transportation needs, customize training for employees and screen potential applicants. A variety of events are offered for the employer throughout the year including job fairs and seminars on various topics. The satisfaction rate has been consistently high for employers who use our services frequently.

For the job seeker, there are numerous services offered including career exploration, skills assessment, job placement and educational planning. JobLink has job listings, career and job search handbooks, easy-to use resume software, a typing tutorial and individual assistance. New tools are being added all the time.  A number of experienced career counselors provide the help you need to be placed in a career, training or further education based on your personal situation.
