Pathways to a Green Career!
Pathways to a Green Career seeks to educate jobseekers about the
green economy and to prepare them for the many opportunities it
will present. This 6-week class integrates three main subjects
into a comprehensive program – green work readiness, green
career education and green community building.
Upon successful completion of the program, youth will be provided
with a PAID internship! Youth will also receive certifications
in Hands-On Weatherization Retrofitting Skills, Community Gardening
Skills and the Equipped for the Future (EFF) National Work Readiness
credential. Sign up today—space is limited!
This is a six-week program for 20 participants per cycle, with
a focus on Workforce Investment Act (WIA) enrolled youth and/or
young adults between the ages of 18 and 24. Participation in the
entire program is required. Participants will be expected to participate
as if they are working a job – absences and tardiness will
be treated as an employer would treat them and this will be explained
in the orientation. The participant day will be from 9:30am until
4:00pm.
