Construction Skills Training Program
What is the process to participate in this
program?
- Step One: Individuals interested in the construction training
must complete an online “Workforce Investment Act (WIA)”
interest application (see link at bottom of this page).
- Step Two: After submitting an online application, you will
be scheduled to attend an information session at 1114 Dorris
Ave, High Point, NC 27260.
- Step Three: Individuals must meet the testing requirements
and WIA eligibility criteria for workers who have been laid-off,
dislocated, unemployed and under-employed. After the
orientation, you
will need to login and please schedule yourself for testing.
- Step Four: Individuals meeting the above criteria will be
assigned to work with a WIA Career Developer and receive case
management services. Financial assistance will be provided to
cover the cost of training.

in this program.
Start/End Date: February 15, 2010 – April 23rd 2010
Days/Hours: Monday – Friday 9:00am – 4:00pm
